Shadows of Change is a non verbal theatre initiative devised to highlight socially critical issues in non aggressive, respectful ways by utilizing visual theater without spoken language. SoC partners with community development organizations and trains community actors to devise brief performances on selected issues, using non-verbal performing techniques of puppets, objects, music, movement and mime which are performed for a cross-section of audiences in their communities. Conveying a story without verbal language fascinates audiences and results in much faster dissemination of vital information to promote positive behavioral change.
